I also notice that "use live data" does not work for custom defined PIDs, but works fine in the standard PID list. Download the following file to the Android device: Orion BMS Torque Extended PIDs (CSV) Install a File Manager application (Astro File Manager is commonly used). I plug in the source data manually for the 100% example and get a return of 99% I am guessing the problem is my second and third argument in the bytesToUInt in the equations.

I have 3 confirmed good PIDs / equations, when I plug in the values into the equations I am getting sane values.īut when I start a log, no useable data/info. Click on the Manage custom OBD2 PIDs in the setting option. Maybe just a noob error, but I followed along the best I could. I am close but can't quite get it working. "MX5_Tire 4 Pressure","T4PRESS","0x22c901","D * 0.Playing around with the custom PID feature. Relevant PID info pulled from the PID master list: I set the pressure at all four tires about 2psi apart(30,32,34 and 36) so that I could determine which sensor value relates to which tire.Īfter determining which sensor belonged with which tire I re-organized them to match the position on the car: I am trying to keep tabs on a slow leak on one of my new tires. Here's a pic showing how to add tire pressure for one tire in the custom PID settings within OBD Fusion app. Ideally I would like to have this shown on my Kenwood head unit but unless the idatalink Maestro RR introduces custom PID's settings I don't think I can get what I really wanted.TPMS. Rather than using a hack workaround and obviously letting torque do this for you, which in my mind, torque simply make multiple requests per PID per read out cycling through the options, whereas this, specifies it properly the first request, reducing load on the ECU and torque from having to respond to multiple invalid requests per PID per pole.

For those of us that don't have Android based head units or phones I found this to be a decent option. But I haven't had a chance to dig into the specifics yet to see why this might be happening. I work in the computer/computer security field and have for decades and have even reverse engineered midi controllers and programmed them to work in a variety of software. Strange thing? I'm actually a really technical guy. I'm still working through some of the other items to see if/how they work, but I'm having mixed results so far.

I have a 2013 Club and the TPS system works - it let me know when I had a low tire a few weeks ago (temperature change). I tried tire temp as well without much luck. Meaning pressure should be 29-30psi or so but I'm reading 19psi or -0.2 psi, etc. For example, tire pressure jumps around and never really reads a value expected for the tire pressure.
